ID Verification

Modified on Wed, 28 Feb at 4:39 PM

To help improve security on our platform, we have now introduced a new element to the booking process whereby we request all guests to be verified. Read on to understand how it works!

What does this mean?

This is a process that simply allows the guest or booker to verify themselves. A booker or guest only needs to do this once on their initial booking, and then it is automated for any future business with us. While we do ask for you to complete verification with your personal details, this does not associate any liability to your personally, as outlined in our terms.

Why should I verify?

The benefit of completing our verification process is to validate the insurance policy that is automatically created with your booking. This provides you with cover for any non malicious damage that occurs (over £500)to a property whilst staying with us. Without verification, any damages will be charged back to the booker.

How do I verify?

Simple! Once you have completed a booking with us, you will be invited to fill in a short booking form, some of which has already been auto completed for you. We will need a photo of a government approved ID (passport or driving licence), and a selfie of yourself. The form should only take you a couple of minutes to complete. Alternatively you can fine this page by logging into your account, clicking on the profile button and then the tab that says 'Verify'.

We aim for the verification process to be relatively quick, pending no issues, however until it has been completed there will be a small clock showing on your guest profile.Once the verification has been completed, a green tick will be displayed.

We encourage all bookers to also get the lead guests to complete the ID verification process too. Again, this only needs to be completed once on their initial booking.
